As three individuals gather to help another move, doubts arise as to whether any of them even knows where they are going at all. The culmination of The Solitude House Theatre Project, Departure is a new devised theatre piece that is based on various found texts, including interviews taken with the community of High Bridge, The Cherry Orchard and Three Sisters by Anton Chekhov, Walden by Henry David Thoreau, Leaves of Grass by Walt Whitman, The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman, and One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
Departure is an immersive theatrical experience was performed in and around the historic Solitude House in High Bridge, NJ in November of 2015.
